Within the County organization, the Facilities & Parks Department is responsible for maintaining, preserving, and managing county buildings, grounds, and park lands. The department ensures that facilities are safe, functional, and accessible for employees and the public, and that county parks remain well-maintained spaces for recreation and community use. The department is committed to protecting public open spaces and natural areas through thoughtful stewardship, restoration, and long-term planning. Its work supports the ecological health of county lands and helps ensure that residents and visitors can enjoy Door County’s parks and facilities now and in the future. To continue this important work, we are seeking a candidate who will perform the responsibilities outlined in the job summary and contribute to our efforts in serving the community. Job Summary This seasonal position supports the care and maintenance of Door County’s parks from April through October or November. Under the direction of the Maintenance Technician Parks Lead or Parks Manager, the role performs custodial, groundskeeping, and maintenance tasks to ensure safe, clean, and welcoming recreational spaces. The position requires punctual, reliable work and effective interaction with the public.
