Seasonal Outdoor Maintenance - Custodial Technician

About The Position
Assists with performing general maintenance, custodial duties, groundskeeping and improvements in assigned Iron County Tourism and recreational areas. Duration of position will not exceed 26 Weeks. Works under the guidance and supervision of the Iron County Tourism Director and under the general direction of the Parks Supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent with one (1) or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Utah Driver License
- Must maintain compliance of Iron County Vehicle Policy – including acceptable driving record
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screen and drug screen
- Must have knowledge of the Iron County natural resources areas
- Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds (occasionally more)
- operate equipment as outlined in "Essential Functions" ie: atv, power equipment and hand tools
- receive and understand directions and/or instructions
- work safely and efficiently
- work alone and with limited supervision
- maintain cooperative working relationships
- interact positively with the general public while performing assigned duties
