About The Position

In this seasonal role, you will have an opportunity to assist our full-time operators with work performed on our camel and/or jet vacuum trucks which are used to maintain the water and wastewater lines throughout the Brookings community.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age by first day of employment.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the operation of the camel truck to clean out wastewater lines that may have been clogged due to roots and/or blockage from grit and debris.
• Assist with the operation of the mobile camera to navigate through wastewater lines to inspect for cracks, collapsed lines, root problems and leaker service lines.
• Perform manual labor, including hand shoveling, lifting, carrying, and moving materials and equipment at the work sites; cleaning work areas, etc.
• Assists with routine equipment maintenance.
