About The Position

The State is accepting online applications for available Seasonal Naturalist Program Coordinator positions.

Requirements

  • State Parks experience high visitation during peak periods such as weekends and holidays, therefore weekend and holiday shifts are expected.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • A Naturalist Coordinator supervises other Park Naturalists and directs the Park Naturalist Program.
  • An employee in this classification conducts interviews of Park Naturalist candidates and makes recommendations to hire.
  • This position is responsible for scheduling and coordinating educational and informational activities, ensuring a smooth operation of eight sites statewide, acquiring scientific collector’s permits, and is responsible for purchasing materials and supplies, as needed.
  • The Naturalist Coordinator acts as a liaison for the Division of Parks & Recreation Naturalist Program.
