About The Position

As department Intern, aptitude and willingness to learn are key: - Support the Environmental Branch in all environmental programming to include; air quality, water quality, soil and land ecology - perform routine water sampling and data collection - perform air quality monitoring and data collection - data management and report writing - field survey and data collection for various plant materials, wildlife and aquatic species - maintain office and workspace in a clean and orderly fashion - perform light custodial maintenance of equipment such as utvs and trucks - attend meetings and trainings to enhance development - Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D required
  • Valid driver's license; must be insurable per Tribal Government requirements.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather, traverse uneven ground for long periods of time, while carrying a pack with tools/supplies and work around or in natural bodies of water.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently enrolled, or recent graduate, college student in a Natural Resources, Ecology, Conservation, Agriculture or similar program preferred
