Job Summary: The Mutuel Teller is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while accurately processing pari-mutuel wagers and payouts for live and simulcast racing. This role requires strong attention to detail, cash-handling accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Responsible for supporting the Company’s mission, vision, and values by providing an unparalleled experience of fun and entertainment.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Previous cash handling or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and ability to handle money accurately.
- Ability to provide professional, friendly, and courteous service at all times.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- Canterbury Park conducts pre-employment screening for all positions which includes a criminal background check and verification of work history.
- Must be able to attain a Minnesota Racing Commission (MRC) license which includes a criminal background check.

- Maintain, reconcile, and balance an assigned cash drawer.
- Ensure precise payouts and correct change distribution.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for operational improvement to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
