The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum opened its doors for the first time on June 12, 1939, and has grown to become one of the country's most popular destinations. The Hall of Fame is the home of the game’s treasures, where the magic of baseball’s stories and legends are passed on from generation to generation. This position will directly support Visitor Services and Membership by providing outstanding customer service to visitors and members throughout the museum. This will include working on the Museum floor, in the box office and in the membership office.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to use a computer and perform basic clerical tasks
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Genuine interest or enthusiasm for baseball

Nice To Haves

  • Museum or other non-profit experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors throughout the Museum, box office, membership office and museum information desk
  • Greet and interact with members and visitors to enhance their experience in the Museum
  • Respond to in-person, phone, and email inquiries from visitors and members with accurate information about the Museum, exhibits, programs and services
  • Provide support and staffing for special events and facility rentals
  • Complete general clerical work including answering phones, opening mail, filing, etc.
