The Seasonal Mechanical Field Technician is responsible for operating specialized aquatic mechanical equipment to perform vegetation cutting, removal, and hydro-raking services across a variety of waterbodies. This role is hands-on and field-based, requiring a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service on every job site.

Requirements

  • Experience operating marine, heavy, or specialized equipment preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to tow trailers a plus
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and around water
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to perform hands-on maintenance tasks
  • Pesticide applicator certification (or ability and willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor when interacting with clients

Responsibilities

  • Operate aquatic mechanical equipment for underwater and surface vegetation cutting, removal, and hydro-raking
  • Assist with the transportation, launching, and retrieval of equipment from waterbodies
  • Perform routine and directed equipment maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation
  • Support aquatic herbicide treatment programs as needed; must obtain and maintain state pesticide applicator certification (or currently hold one)
  • Assist with the removal, cleaning, and reinstallation of fountain and aeration systems
  • Represent the company professionally at all times, maintaining the highest standards of customer service and conduct in the field
