About The Position

The Seasonal Marketing Coordinator supports the Marketing Department with event planning, execution, and day-to-day marketing activities during the peak season from April through August. This is an on-site role working closely with the Marketing Team to coordinate community events, sponsorship activations, and brand representation efforts across Texas Disposal Systems and its group of companies. The position will assist with social media and email marketing, content creation, and organization of marketing materials.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Currently pursuing or completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field OR equivalent experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to represent the company professionally in public-facing environments
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to take initiative and support a variety of marketing and PR activities
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Availability to work on-site, part-time hours from April through August
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends for events, as needed
  • Valid class C driver’s license
  • Safe driving for the last three years

  • Experience supporting events, promotions, or customer-facing roles
  • Familiarity with social media content creation, including short-form video
  • Interest in marketing, branding, or public relations

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing events, sponsorship activations, and community engagements.
  • Represent Texas Disposal Systems and its group of companies at events, including setup, breakdown, and on-site engagement.
  • Support social media efforts, including content calendaring, basic copywriting, and short-form video (reels) creation.
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns, including drafting content and supporting distribution.
  • Help organize and maintain marketing storage areas, event materials, and promotional inventory.
  • Coordinate event logistics including materials, signage, transportation, and staffing needs.
  • Provide general support for marketing campaigns and public relations initiatives as needed.
  • Assist with light copywriting for marketing materials, social media, and internal communications.
  • Support the marketing and PR team with administrative tasks and coordination as needed.
  • Perform occasional manual labor related to event setup, breakdown, and storage organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.
