About The Position

The Seasonal Laborer position at the Department of Public Works for the City of Novi sounds like the job for you! As a Seasonal Laborer , you will be tasked with performing maintenance duties such as repairing or replacing asphalt, concrete work, storm drain maintenance, hydrant maintenance, sewer jetting, and assisting with the city's cross-connection program. The Seasonal Laborer position is a team-oriented position that works closely with other City of Novi departments to assist with maintenance activities and investigate citizen complaints or concerns. Seasonal Laborers usually work shifts Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 3:30pm. We need candidates for the Seasonal Laborer role to work as early as April until as late as November, but we are flexible with your schedule and what you are looking for.

Requirements

Knowledge of basic mechanical repair practices used to properly maintain assigned equipment
General knowledge of hand tools
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
At least 18 years old
Valid driver's license
