About The Position

The Lake Compounce Food & Beverage Inventory Controller is responsible for maintaining the integrity of inventory system information as well as the Food & Beverage physical goods. The perfect candidate should have an eye for detail, be proficient with computers, and be able to multitask.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Connecticut child labor laws
  • Must be proficient with computers comprehension of Excel preferred with ten key ability
  • Maintain daily orders, transfers, receivers and store inventory in inventories system
  • Must have strong organizational and guest service skills
  • Must have strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shift
  • Ability to comply with all uniform policies
  • Must possess safety-oriented mindset and understand the importance of complying with all state, and local food preparation and serving regulations
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations, meet the demands of constant deadlines and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday
  • Ability to occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders
  • Ability to withstand heat and humidity from the food preparation equipment
  • Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more
  • Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditions
  • Subject to constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, and heavily populated environments
  • Requires standing for long periods and walking long distances within the park
  • Exposure to the variable outside and inside temperatures, including high heat and cold temperatures
  • Must be able to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Occasional bending, squatting, and reaching above shoulders
  • 1+ years of previous work experience in inventory/food service desired
  • Must become Food Handler Safety Certified (ServSafe or similar) or become so within 90 days of hire, when required by state and local guidelines.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory experience a plus
  • Previous amusement park, theme park, or waterpark experience a plus
  • Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work with warehouse team on the flow of food & beverage goods in the park
  • Data entry for purchase orders, transfers and damages
  • Waste tracking entry for all locations
  • Report generation for cost of sales
  • Physical inventory completion, oversight and entry
  • Cycle count items
  • Maintain quality assurance of food and beverage items managing FIFO processes
  • Communicate with vendors as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned to support the park
