About The Position

The Inventory Controller is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting daily warehouse operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring inventory integrity through cycle counts, reconciliation, and system accuracy, while supporting month-end close processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control best practices.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a similar role
  • Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Experience with SKU setup, product master data, and inventory organization
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification) and experience operating warehouse equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, data analysis preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Familiarity with barcode scanning systems and RF devices
  • Experience in cycle counting methodologies (ABC classification, etc)
  • Lean or continuous improvement experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the WMS and ensure timely updates
  • Support month-end (EOM) close activities, including reconciliations and reporting
  • Assist with SKU creation, setup, and ongoing maintenance (attributes, locations, bin assignments, etc.)
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with operations to prevent stockouts or overstock situations
  • Ensure proper product labeling, storage, and location management within the warehouse
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed to support inventory processes
  • Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure accurate inbound/outbound transactions
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and inventory control procedures
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Support process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency
