About The Position

GENERAL PURPOSE Perform duties specific to seasonal assignment. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operate various equipment throughout plant including cheese manufacturing and packaging equipment Ensure all equipment is operating properly. Perform cleaning of equipment and document results as necessary Monitor the quality of product and report any issues to Leadperson, QC Department and/or Supervisory staff promptly Follow DFA’s GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with corporate and regulatory quality and sanitation requirements Maintain a clean work environment and perform clean-up duties between shifts as required Perform all work safely according to company policy, reporting an unsafe condition immediately. Responsible for monitoring and taking corrective actions when necessary for a critical control point as part of the plant HACCP plan. Ensure all documentation is done correctly and turned in promptly. Perform any other duties as required to meet production demands. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, some college coursework, or undergraduate degree depending upon the internship or intern assignment
  • Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to follow directions
  • Able to interpret and apply company policies
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to interact positively and work effectively with others (interpersonal skills)
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
