Requirements

• Strong passion and knowledge of plants, gardening, and natural lawn care
• Previous retail or garden center experience preferred
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for extended periods
• Weekend and evening availability is required

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of customer service experience in retail environment
• Experience with a Point of Sale (POS) system
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide) to ensure accuracy in recording sales and handling monetary transactions

Responsibilities

• Provide support on plant care, landscaping, lawn products, and natural gardening methods
• Deliver outstanding customer service and solution-based selling
• Assist customers in selecting the right plants, soils, fertilizers, pest control, and tools for their specific needs
• Under the direction of department and store leadership, ensure the health and care of plants, including watering, pruning, fertilizing, and pest management
• Assist in the daily upkeep of garden center displays and green goods areas
