The Department of Conservation and Recreation seeks applicants for the position of Seasonal Program Coordinator II, GIS Applications Analyst. The Division of Water Supply Protection has migrated many geospatial workflows to the cloud using ArcGIS Online. We manage a diverse suite of solutions for data management, field data collection, reporting, and coordination. The GIS Applications Assistant will be responsible for reviewing and updating existing ArcGIS Online web maps to comply with secretariat accessibility best practices and assist the Division in meeting accessibility requirements (under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title II). In addition, the GIS Applications Assistant will also provide support and technical guidance to Division Creators in making appropriate accessibility changes to their own web maps. Finally, the GIS Applications Assistant will be responsible for the creation of new workflow solutions as the need arises; each new solution will be fully documented, and training will be provided to staff on an as-needed basis. The successful candidate will also be responsible for completing special GIS projects, such as proof of concept work and the creation of content, both within ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro.
