There are many reasons to build your career at Carter's. How You'll Make an Impact The OB Shipper is responsible for preparing customer orders for shipment and moving them to assigned drop zones. This role typical reports into the Operations Supervisor and is based in our Stockbridge Distribution Center. Use RF Scanner to scan boxes and close pallets. Operate an Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ) to move product to assigned drop zones. Shrink wrap pallets. Responsible for observing housekeeping, safety and C-TPAT compliance in assigned area of responsibility; Stay within compliance of the company policies regarding safety. Work efficiently and accurately in a production environment. Perform other tasks as assigned, including pulling during low volume periods. Support the Coordinator/Supervisor in all duties as assigned including all operational areas of the Distribution Center

Requirements

You will operate an electric pallet jack for most of your shift, so you must be able to pass EPJ and safety certification.
Basic knowledge of WMOS, including scanner tasks and functions.
Team player willing to perform various job duties to support the department and the facility objectives and key performance indicators.
A customer-service orientation willing to exceed the expectations our customers.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, scan with RF equipment, bend, twist, and be on your feet for shifts up to 12 hours long.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others (Supervisors, Managers, and peers).
Flexibility to work overtime and comply with blackout periods (no vacation or personal time allowed) during peak periods.
