About The Position

Duties include but are not limited to the following: Assist with daily operations of the grain elevator including grain receiving, drying, cleaning, storage, and load-out activities during peak operational seasons. Support facility readiness by performing general maintenance, minor equipment repairs, and housekeeping to ensure safe and efficient operations throughout the year. Assist local growers during delivery of commodities, helping maintain efficient grain flow through the facility during busy harvest periods. Prepare facility equipment, bins, and storage areas ahead of harvest through pre-season sanitation and preventative maintenance. Operate tractors, loaders, fork trucks, and other grain handling equipment used in the receiving, drying, cleaning, processing, and shipment of grain. Monitor stored grain throughout the storage season, including checking temperature, moisture levels, aeration systems, and watching for signs of pests or spoilage to maintain grain quality. Assist with grain load-out, order fulfillment, and shipments as grain is marketed and transported throughout the year. Support Agronomy Operations during planting and growing seasons. Responsibilities may include fertilizer plant operations, seed handling, crop protection product handling, and assisting Custom Applicators serving local growers. Tender Driving to support custom applicators and customer deliveries. Due to the seasonal nature of agriculture, workloads may vary throughout the year. Employees must be willing to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary, particularly during planting and harvest seasons. Work outdoors and in changing weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, snow, dust, and other environmental conditions common to agricultural operations. Maintain reliable attendance and demonstrate a strong work ethic during peak seasonal periods when teamwork and efficiency are critical. Perform other duties as assigned to support seasonal grain and agronomy operations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • CDL license preferred, but not required
  • Experience preferred, or in related field or ability to learn
  • Willingness to work weekdays as long as required and weekends as required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a CDL License
