About The Position

SXSW is seeking a Seasonal Content Marketing Coordinator to support integrated marketing campaigns for the SXSW EDU Conference & Festival. This role plays a key part in the creative ideation, planning, scheduling, and execution across social media channels and the website. This seasonal position is a hands-on role for someone highly organized, thrives in a deadline-driven environment, and enjoys working behind the scenes to keep projects moving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in marketing
  • Self-starter with strong prioritization and organization skills
  • Strong understanding of current digital marketing concepts, strategies, and best practices
  • Enjoy brainstorming and creative writing with strategic direction
  • Show strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Be comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in WordPress, Adobe Suite, Google Analytics, HTML coding, Mac iOS, and Hootsuite is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Produce social-first digital content to increase growth and engagement on SXSW EDU social channels (Bluesky, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok). This includes content capture, video editing, caption writing, and collaboration with other teams.
  • Support social-first video content ideas and optimize for the different platforms.
  • Keep up to date on innovative education industry trends to ensure SXSW EDU leverages trending online conversations to create better content and serve our audience.
  • Write and edit content in WordPress on the SXSW EDU website
  • Support marketing campaigns and announcements across both the website and social media channels
  • Review content calendars to ensure timely production and publication of assets leading up to and during the event
  • Coordinate content marketing operations, collaborating with various teams across the company
  • Track social media and website analytics to optimize campaign performance
