The primary function of an employee in this position is to perform maintenance, repair, and service work at Blackfoot Grove Cemetery and grounds and buildings, including equipment, machinery, irrigation systems, and playground structures. Additional duties include soil and plant cultivation, cleanup duties, and public restroom cleaning and maintenance. The position is seasonal, and work is performed under the direct supervision of the Sexton. An employee in this position may be assigned to other duties in the City’s Parks & Recreation or Golf Department. The principal duties of this position are performed in an outdoor environment which may include working in adverse weather conditions and hazards involving the use of power tools, heavy equipment, and exposure to hazardous and allergenic materials. The working hours vary and may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
