About The Position

This particular role is located in Napa Valley, a renowned food and wine capital, at a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star resort set within a world-class vineyard. The resort offers innovative and seasonal cuisine at Michelin-starred Auro and holistic spa rituals at Spa Talisa. The company is hiring seasonal CAMPO and Pool Servers from April through October. The CAMPO Pool Server must be knowledgeable of the menu and preparation methods, respond to all interactions efficiently, courteously, and professionally to achieve maximum customer satisfaction, and attend to guest needs and requests with a sense of urgency in the Resort’s Food & Beverage areas.

Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years’ food service or related work.
  • Required Food Handlers Permit and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Permit
  • Strong oral presentation skills
  • Ability to carry and balance a tray.
  • Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment.
  • Strong problem solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guests.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Candidates must possess valid US work authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Napa Valley and surrounding areas, highly desirable, however not required.
  • Preferred experience in a luxury hotel or resort.

Responsibilities

  • Take guest orders and describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting and vivid descriptions of each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods.
  • Communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; coordinate food and beverage timings.
  • Check completed kitchen orders with the guest’s original order and transport items to the guest table or lounge chair in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
  • Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.
  • Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Assist with CAMPO Bartending duties during relief periods or for scheduled shifts.
  • Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in Impact.
