About The Position

The Bar Back is an essential part of the bar team, working behind the scenes to keep operations running seamlessly. This position supports bartenders by restocking liquor, beer, and supplies, washing and polishing glassware, preparing mixers and garnishes, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the shift. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-energy environment and is committed to supporting outstanding guest experiences.

Requirements

  • Previous bar, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to follow directions and anticipate team needs
  • Basic knowledge of bar operations and beverage service preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must meet minimum age requirements for alcohol service per state law
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and following health and safety standards

Responsibilities

  • Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, and bar supplies throughout shifts
  • Prepare garnishes, juices, syrups, and other drink ingredients
  • Ensure bartenders have necessary tools and supplies at all times
  • Wash, polish, and restock glassware
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, storage rooms, and coolers
  • Remove trash and recycling regularly
  • Refill ice bins and change kegs as needed
  • Assist with receiving and organizing inventory deliveries
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate low stock to management
  • Support bartenders during peak service to ensure efficient operations
  • Follow all health, safety, and alcohol service guidelines
  • Smile and greet every guest especially when they’re in proximity.
  • Provide quick and efficient service.
  • Remember guest names and use them often in interactions.
  • Offer assistance and provide options to guests.
  • Emphasize creating a positive guest experience and building lasting connections
