About The Position

The Seasonal Assistant Gardener is responsible for monitoring the health of all plants and green spaces, watering and feeding plants, trimming trees, shrubs, and keeping walkways/parking lots clear of debris and litter. This role also involves planting annuals/perennials and weeding gardens. The position is seasonal, from May to October.

Requirements

• license
• Be able to lift 35 lbs.
• Must be at least 16 years old
• Basic knowledge of plants
• Ability to self-motivate with minimal supervision
• High school degree or GED

Responsibilities

• Work with Director Horticulture
• Keep all gardens free all weeds
• Pruning trees and Shrubs
• Transplanting and planting gardens
• Bulb planting in fall
• Raking, edging, mulching and dead heading gardens
• Planting annuals
• Provides quality customer service.
• Performs all miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
