Seasider Sports Videographer
About The Position
This position is part of the Activities program at Brigham Young University - Hawaii. The videographer will assist with maintaining and increasing student participation amongst social media accounts and sports activities, and will lead and execute promotional activities at intramural and free play events. Key responsibilities include managing, developing, and implementing all video marketing and promotional activity for Seasider Sports using Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, and other Adobe software. The role also involves capturing game day atmosphere, event lead-ups, half-time entertainment, pre-game and post-game entertainment, and music during events. The videographer will assist in the development and growth of student participation in Seasider Sports & Activities by fostering interdepartmental relationships and creating and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and partnerships. Additionally, the role involves assisting with videography, photography, and other marketing tools to achieve student audience targets, ensuring students adhere to the honor code, and maintaining student safety. The position requires working various hours depending on events and activities, reporting to the Promotions Supervisor for Seasider Sports, and collaborating with other team members.
Requirements
- Monitor should have been in school at least one year with experience in videography.
- Other experiences working with Capcut, Adobe PremierPro, Adobe Photoshop, and other Adobe Software will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Manages, develops and implements all video marketing and promotional activity for Seasider Sports using Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom and other Adobe software.
- Assist in capturing game day atmosphere, lead up to events, half time entertainment, pre-game entertainment, post game entertainment, music during events and after event care.
- Assist in the development and growth of student participation in Seasider Sports & Activities through developing and maintaining interdepartmental relationships with other key persons.
- Assist in the development of event planning and works well unsupervised.
- Assists in creating and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and partnerships.
- Assists in videography and photography and other marketing tools and resources to achieve targets for student audience.
- Ensure students are in honor code and ensure safety of students.
- Will work various hours of the day depending on each event and activity.
- Reports to Promotions Supervisor for Seasider Sports, and works with other team members.
- Performs other duties as assigned
