About The Position
An individual who ensures the safety of patrons in and around the waterfront by monitoring swimmers and enforcing safety rules and regulations. Lifeguards are skilled swimmers and display leadership characteristics, communication skills and assertiveness as needed.
Requirements
- Must be 17 years of age (or 16 years of age with one year of experience as a Lifeguard Aide)
- Must have current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training (LGT)
- Waterfront Lifeguard Certification
- Professional Rescuer CPR
- Certification as above, and Division Aquatic policy and procedures set forth by the manual
