About The Position

Our team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) team at Lockheed Martin, is dedicated to engineering, developing, and integrating new capabilities for the Missile Defense System that protects the United States and its allies. While we are part of a large organization, we operate within smaller, agile teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Our responsibilities include Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing critical missile defense technologies. This position will perform some or all of the following duties, concentrating on early-phase (concept, requirements, and design) activities of the Systems-Engineering Development Lifecycle: Candidate will serve as the Interface Product Technical Lead for the C2BMC SE&V Team. Candidate will be responsible for driving value delivery on a complex missile defense command and control system. The candidate will perform the following tasks: Specify stakeholder needs to drive the frequent delivery of value to the customer Contribute to the overall C2BMC Program Roadmap Assess progress and report status to Product Owner Manage stakeholder expectations Work will be performed as a member of an Agile Scrum team under the direction of a Team Lead who reports to the C2BMC Regional Systems Engineering Manager Please Note: Work will be performed in a closed area. This position is a 100% in-office position. Some travel may be required. An active SECRET clearance or greater is required. As leaders of the C2BMC team, Lockheed Martin partners with industry leaders to develop and field the backbone of America’s missile defense. Requirements

  • A final secret clearance is required for consideration.
  • Command and control system application development.
  • Create, review, and critique interface documents, system requirements, verification documentation, architectural documentation, and engineering estimates.
  • Experience with DoD integration processes, Agile and SE&V methodologies and MBSE tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Team management/leadership in an Agile environment is desired.
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience a plus.
  • Product Owner and/or Scrum Master experience a plus.
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on unanticipated tasking.
  • The successful candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills, have the ability to work independently and will possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Applicant should have good working knowledge of MS Office products.
