About The Position

Graduate assistants will assist Graduate Biomedical Sciences faculty in labs and tutor for the following courses: Histology, Gross Anatomy, and Human Physiology. Teaching assistants will assist students with their lab and work together to determine a schedule for the lab that they assist. TAs must read the ab instructions and view the assigned material on Learning Management Systems before the lab. This position starts in the Spring semester. The position is In-Person. Requirements

  • BS in Biology, Chemistry, or equivalent degree from accredited institutions.
  • Must have completed graduate-level Human Physiology, Gross Anatomy, and Histology lecture and labs courses with an “A”
  • Some experience working with the Anatomage table.
  • Basic knowledge of learning management systems such as Examsoft and Canvas.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting students during lab.
  • Assisting the instructor setup and cleaning up the lab.
  • Tutoring students outside of the lab.
  • Proctor lab exams.
  • Electronic communication with students and prospective students.
