About The Position

Assist with the coordination of daily routing scenarios, including planning and coordinate backhauls.

Requirements

• High School degree required
• Minimum of two years of related experience
• General Office Equipment

Responsibilities

• Work with SDS Transportation Managers to create reporting that will aid in monitoring productivity and effectiveness of the department.
• Coordinate scheduling of backhauls with all relevant internal and external contacts and handle communications as needed.
• Assist with gathering information and determining the best solutions for routing opportunities as needed
• Execute the daily route planning based on the volume/cube for each route that day. Create X-routes as needed, and ensure proper communication with SDS Transportation Scheduler.
• Work with Department Managers and CLI Safety to provide DOT log information and reporting for DC and SBK Drivers as needed.
• Prepare information for IFTA fuel tax filings and provide it to CLI Accounting
• Research and provide delivery data to SDS Transportation Managers as needed to assist with investigating store complaints or delivery time discrepancies
• Serve as a backup for payroll functions
• Assist in other areas of the department as needed
