About The Position

Piper Companies is looking to bring on an SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) for a 9-month contract with a well-established digital health education providerbased in Morrisville, NC. This hybrid role requires working on-site three days a week and focuses on building automated testing solutions for both web and mobile applications.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field
3+ years of experience in test automation for both web and mobile apps
Hands-on experience with Cypress and Selenium for web testing
Familiarity with Appium and Maestro for mobile testing (iOS and Android)
Strong coding skills in JavaScript, Java, or Python
Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automated test suites for mobile and web platforms
Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to define testing strategies and acceptance criteria
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery
Analyze test results, identify issues, and report bugs clearly
Use tools like Cypress, Selenium, Appium, and Maestro to enhance test frameworks
Conduct exploratory and regression testing to validate new features and fixes
Monitor and improve test coverage, reliability, and performance
Document test plans, cases, and automation architecture
