The Information Services (IS) Scrum Master is accountable for planning and overseeing the development and support of key software products within the IS department. This person will work with the Product Owner to develop sprints and manage the releases and will work under the direction of the PMO Manager. Our Scrum Master Team: Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers. Coach the team on how to get the most of self-organization. Periodic assessment of the team gauging Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization. Remove impediments and/or guide the team to remove impediments. Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised with an emphasis of constructive feedback and problem solving. Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution, getting work done without assigning or dictating the work. Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information. Support and educate the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog. Provide support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible and leading by example. To effectively perform the Scrum Master role, the employee must be able to work in a hybrid environment and support both remote and on-site work based on business and team needs. The employee is required to maintain reliable, high-speed Internet access at their home to ensure effective communication and responsiveness while working remotely, including during on-call, remote support and disaster recovery activities. The role requires regular use of company-approved collaboration and communication tools, such as Microsoft Teams, 8by8 phone services, and other web- based applications.
