About The Position

The Scrum Master will serve as the key facilitator for multiple Agile delivery teams, ensuring alignment with program objectives and enabling predictable execution in a complex, high-stakes environment. This role supports sprint and Program Increment (PI) planning, manages team-level dependencies, mitigates risks, and drives continuous improvement in Agile practices and team performance. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including program leadership, technical leads, and Product Owners, you will foster collaboration, accountability, and transparency across teams. The ideal candidate brings experience in scaled Agile frameworks, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and excels at coaching teams to deliver high-quality results. This position requires a balance of technical understanding, facilitation expertise, and strong organizational skills to keep teams aligned with strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator in complex technical or DoD programs.
  • Experience supporting multiple Agile teams in a scaled Agile environment (e.g., SAFe).
  • Proficiency in Agile lifecycle management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Strong knowledge of SAFe Agile principles and team-level execution practices.
  • Proven ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies and coach teams on best practices.
  • Experience tracking and interpreting Agile metrics to drive team improvement and program transparency.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Active SECRET security clearance required; must be a U.S. citizen.

  • SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Scrum Master for multiple Agile teams, facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
  • Support Program Increment (PI) planning and ensure teams are aligned with program priorities and release train objectives.
  • Identify, track, and resolve team-level impediments while escalating cross-team issues to leadership as needed.
  • Coordinate dependencies and synchronize work across the Agile Release Train to ensure predictable delivery.
  • Partner with Product Owners and technical leads to maintain well-defined, prioritized backlogs aligned with program goals.
  • Track team progress using Agile metrics such as velocity, burn-down, and predictability to support transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Foster high-performing team dynamics, psychological safety, and continuous learning.
  • Promote adherence to Agile principles, SAFe practices, and team working agreements.
  • Maintain visibility into team performance, risks, and dependencies for program leadership.
