Requirements
- Three years of experience with strong triaging skills and basic computer skills required.
Nice To Haves
- Perioperative experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of leadership, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards.
- Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level.
- Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.
- Primary position for telephone screening of presurgical patients for review and collection of medical history for day of surgery preparation.
- Will work closely with surgeons’ office and must demonstrate interpersonal skills and clinical competency.
- Cross-cover for the clinic on an as needed basis may be required.
