Scope Processing Tech Trainee
About The Position
Make it happen at Hopkins. Full-time, 12pm-8:30pm The Johns Hopkins Hospital is a world-renowned leader in patient care, serving the greater Baltimore community and patients from all across the globe. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff teams provide support throughout our many specialty departments and centers, from primary visits to emergency care. General Summary: Under the direct supervision of a Scope Processing Technician and/or the Scope Processing Leader, performs and participates in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, scanning, disinfection, drying, storage and distribution of reusable flexible endoscopes and other equipment according to established standards and procedures to ensure sterile and functioning supply of materials and equipment.
Requirements
- A minimum of a High School diploma or GED
- Must acquire CFER (Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor) from CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) or CER (Certified Endoscope Reprocessor) from Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA), formerly IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materials Management), certification within two (2) years of hire
