About The Position

Who we’re looking for: You are a highly collaborative, talented and motivated medicinal chemist, with a strong understanding of modern synthetic organic chemistry methods. You thrive in a multi-disciplinary team environment and are looking for an opportunity to work alongside leaders in the field of targeted protein degradation, where you are empowered to enable drug discovery programs and explore new aspects of this emerging and compelling science. Role and responsibilities: Contribute to projects as a synthetic and medicinal chemist aiding in driving projects from inception, through hit finding and lead optimization, to candidate selection and clinical development. In this lab-based role, you will impact from the bench through designing and executing multistep syntheses of complex small molecules while characterizing intermediates and final products. Leverage SAR insights, as well as structure‑ and ligand‑based design techniques, and optimize pharmacological properties Be a team player to enable chemistry for project teams and/or generate advanced building blocks for team use. Have the opportunity to manage external chemistry resources focusing on problem solving and target prioritization. Contribute to patents and scientific publications. Work within mandated laboratory safety policies and practices and maintain an electronic notebook to company standards

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry or related discipline, or M.S. with 5+ years industry experience, or B.S. with 10+ years industry experience.
  • Proven ability to design and synthesize high‑impact small molecules that move drug discovery programs toward critical decision points.
  • Demonstrated in depth knowledge of modern organic synthetic methods, purification and analytical techniques.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medicinal chemistry including multiparameter optimization efforts.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • The ideal candidate is familiar with both structure and ligand based small molecule optimization paradigms.
