This role involves conducting advanced cryptographic research and analysis to support the development and revision of NIST cryptographic standards and publications. The position requires expertise in symmetric-key cryptography, formal methods, and software testing to analyze security vulnerabilities in cryptographic algorithms and their implementations. The researcher will collaborate with NIST staff and international standards bodies to strengthen federal information systems security. This is a technical leadership role requiring both independent research capabilities and the ability to communicate complex cryptographic concepts to diverse audiences.
