About The Position

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Scientific Illustrator with a minimum 5 years’ professional experience with scientific illustrations to support a Federal Government contract. Must pass a background check for security clearance, be a U.S. citizen, and must be able to work on site in Washington, DC/Alexandria, VA.
The candidate we seek will possess:
Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud suite of products.
Ability to gather requirements from stakeholders and work collaboratively within a team as well as independently on assigned projects.
Ability to take creative direction from stakeholders.
Ability to create highly detailed, scientifically accurate depictions of various objects, principles, plants, and animals.
Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects and meeting tight deadlines.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college.
• Five years of professional experience with scientific illustrations.
• Experience with using Adobe Creative Cloud suite of products/ digital illustration software.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt, organize, and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must pass background check for security clearance.
