AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Coral Gables on January 15-16, 2026. This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026. The event kicks off on Thursday evening with a networking mixer where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines. On Friday, interviews will take place at our Coral Gables office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities. AECOM is actively seeking Science Interns for the Spring 2026 or Fall 2026 semesters for employment in our Florida office locations, which include Coral Gables, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Tampa offices. We will also consider exceptional candidates in other AECOM locations in the Southeast United States. Internships will run for three months, either February through April 2026 or October through 2026. The successful candidate will be pursuing a degree in a relevant field of study such as environmental science, biology, Geographic Information Systems, environmental compliance/regulations, or other relevant science-related degree. The internship position will involve interdisciplinary collaboration, office, and field-based project work, and both in-person and virtual (telework) work environments. This position provides an opportunity to gather valuable on the job training, aid in future career planning and opportunities, and work with a team of highly skilled professionals within multiple disciplines. Work experiences will be focused on projects and environmental tasks in transportation, ports, natural gas, electric utilities, and site development/redevelopment, as well as other environmental focus areas. The internship position is part of AECOM’s Environmental Planning and Permitting (EPP) team in the Southeast United States. The ideal candidate will need to thrive in a challenging environment, exhibit critical thinking and independent thinking skills, be flexible on schedules (including travel) to meet training and project deadlines, participate in meetings and trainings as part of AECOM’s internship experience, and be open to collaborating with different teams to gain different experience opportunities within our Environment business line.
