Requirements

  • Associate degree or five (5) years of experience supporting an OPSEC program.
  • OPSEC Awareness for Military Members, DoD Employees, and Contractors Course GS130.16 (or equivalent).
  • Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Thorough knowledge of basic security principles, concepts, policy, procedures and methodology, in addition to the necessary skills required to apply this knowledge and provide security advice, and assistance on a wide range of security issues.
  • Ensure the safeguard of information to prevent adversaries and potential adversaries' ability to plan, prepare, and conduct military and other operations against the United States.
  • Maintain process to identify and mitigate indicators of U.S. intentions, capabilities, operations, and activities.
  • Experience supporting and implementing OPSEC programs.
  • Perform basic tasks in coordinating and processing Critical Program and Technology requirements and initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with existing internal and external agency analysts (i.e. All Source, and CI) in researching, monitoring and analyzing pertinent data. Provide preliminary security recommendations based on the identification of threat data.
  • Consult with Agency Program/Project Managers to develop and implement RTP protection policies, procedures and guidelines to protect classified or sensitive technological elements and mitigate program vulnerabilities.
  • Provide Security support to RDT&E efforts facilitated by DTRA. Support for this directorate will be funded with RD funds.
  • Write Weekly Activity Reports for leadership as required.
  • Requires excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
