Team Members: Salem Public Schools is looking for the following early childhood evaluation team members to work up to 5 hours per week over the course of the school year. Members will be paid current contract rate: Psychologist (1) Speech Language Therapist (up to 2) Occupational Therapist (1) What You’ll Do: As a collaborative member of the Special Education Evaluation team and in accordance with the policies and procedures of Salem Public Schools, the evaluation team will observe, evaluate, present reports, make recommendations and participate in team meetings.

Requirements

  • Maintain valid DESE licensure
  • EEC background check
  • Experience with delivering school-based services to school-aged students, PK-12
  • Possess effective written and oral communication skills
  • Current authorization to work in the United States required

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (Spanish) skills are advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a variety of standardized and informal assessments as appropriate
  • Use district software to create Individual Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Develop IEPs and/or documented treatment plans
  • Complete required paperwork and job-related functions in a timely manner and in compliance with special education regulations and district policies
  • Gather, collate, and/or classify data; generate reports and present findings at meetings, as appropriate
