About The Position

Rochester Academy Charter School is currently seeking a School Social Worker for the 2025-2026 school year. Several qualifications will be considered: New York State certification in School Social Work (preferred with additional salary); LMSW, LCSW, or similar qualifications and/ or out-of-State certification will be considered. Experience is preferred but not required. Job responsibilities categories include (but are not limited to): Leading and supervising 1:1 and group counseling for students with IEPs and 504s Leading and supervising 1:1 and group counseling to support student who express mental or behavioral health needs Offering drop-in counseling and on the spot mediation services Connecting students and families with community resources Supporting families struggling with housing insecurity Hosting and planning for staff professional learning around topics specific to Social Emotional Learning Small student population of around 200 students About RACS Rochester Academy Charter School (RACS) is a public charter school, primarily serving students from the City of Rochester. Over 90% of our students identify as an individual of color. We are a college preparatory school and use data to determine how best to foster student growth.
