About The Position
Ampersand Therapy is hiring dedicated School Social Workers for the 2025–2026 school year. We offer full-time and part-time, exclusively in-person positions supporting schools in Illinois. As a women- and therapist-founded company, originally started in Washington and now also local to Illinois, our mission is to elevate your school-based experience. Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) in Social Work
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in schools or special education is a plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a strong advantage but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide school social work services in elementary, middle, or high school settings
- Complete IEP minutes and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in staff meetings and support multidisciplinary collaboration
- Collaborate closely with special education teams and other school staff
