Aspire Living & Learning is currently looking for a School Social Worker who will work with stakeholders (e.g., students, parents, teachers, administrators) to support the learning and development of students across the age range (K-12 and transition) to help them succeed academically, behaviorally, emotionally, and socially.

Requirements

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in social work from an accredited university
  • Current certification in School Social Work

Responsibilities

  • Partners with school employees to develop and implement evidence based social, emotional, and behavioral programming.
  • Communicates progress to parents and provides support as necessary.
  • Provides in-service education and/or serves as a consultant to teachers and other school employees on topics related to social and emotional development.
  • Delivers implementation of social, emotional, and behavioral programming at the classroom, small group, and individual levels.
  • Ensures a trauma aware environment for all students.
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills and outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Cultivate a positive and productive workplace atmosphere to enhance team morale and productivity.
  • Participate in and complete training sessions as delegated by management to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Conduct training as required and assigned.
  • Perform any additional job responsibilities assigned by supervisors or team leaders to support the organization's smooth operation.
  • Accept reassignment as required.
