About The Position
School Resource Officer – Daytime Assignment (Part-Time) City of North Canton Assigned to St. Paul Catholic School No nights. No weekends. No holidays. Summers off. The City of North Canton is accepting applications for a School Resource Officer (SRO) assigned to St. Paul Catholic School. This position offers a consistent weekday, daytime schedule during the school year and is well-suited for an OPOTA-certified law enforcement professional seeking a stable assignment focused on safety, presence, and positive community interaction. Position Overview This is a City position providing law enforcement services in a school setting. The SRO serves as a visible safety presence, supports emergency preparedness, and builds professional relationships with students and staff in coordination with school administration and City leadership. Requirements
- Current OPOTA certification (required), or the ability to recertify
- Prior law enforcement experience

Responsibilities
- Maintain a consistent law enforcement presence during school hours
