About The Position

The School Psychologist role provides an opportunity for a talented educator to work with students with various social, emotional, and academic needs across United’s four campuses. The School Psychologist will have a number of key responsibilities including the following: conducting testing and assessments for students across grades K-8; collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to provide insights and recommendations for individual education plans; designing individualized education plans to address functional and academic needs; and providing individual and group counseling to students dealing with emotional, developmental, and behavioral challenges. This position is integral in ensuring that all students have access to high-quality educational experiences.

Requirements

  • Holds a Master’s degree in School Psychology; Education Specialist or Doctorate degree preferred.
  • Holds a valid Professional Pupil Services License as a School Psychologist from the State Board of Education in Ohio.
  • Has at least two years of successful school psychology experience in an urban school (preferred).
  • Skilled at providing direct support and interventions to students, families, and other school professionals.
  • Skilled at working with school and district leaders to improve schoolwide practices and policies.
  • Skilled at collaborating with community providers to coordinate services.
  • Is committed to using data-driven instructional practices and the techniques outlined in Teach Like a Champion 3.0 to improve student outcomes.
  • Is relentless in writing, refining, and internalizing curriculum, lessons, and assessments.
  • Is open and committed to implementing frequent feedback from team members.
  • Communicates effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Comfortability with Google products for effective communication and completion of job responsibilities.
