About The Position

The Barrington School District is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative School Psychologist for the 2026-27 school year.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to collect, organize, and analyze academic and behavioral data to inform instruction and intervention.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple evaluation timelines effectively.
  • A deep understanding of special education procedures, state regulations, and NASP ethical standards.
  • School Psychologist NH Certification Required
  • Master's Degree in related field
  • relevant experience in an educational setting

Nice To Haves

  • a minimum of 3 years experience working as a School Psychologist is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Administer psychological, intellectual, social, emotional, and academic assessments for students suspected of or identified with disabilities.
  • All evaluations must align with National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) standards.
  • Translate complex data into comprehensive written reports and clear verbal presentations, providing actionable recommendations for parents and educators.
  • Deliver evidence-based counseling services to students with behavioral challenges and special needs as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Serve as an integral member of the IEP team, interpreting independent evaluations, facilitating eligibility determinations, and recommending appropriate programming.
  • Act as a strategic resource for teachers and administrators, providing expert guidance on best practices for supporting students with disabilities.
