School Psychologist - Senior
About The Position
The School Psychologist - Senior provides a range of services and duties selected and adapted to the unique educational, psychological, emotional, mental health communication needs of Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deafblind children, aged 3-21, under the general supervision of the Director of Pupil Services. These duties include conducting psychological, educational, and vocational assessments and diagnoses; providing counseling; collaborating with pupil services and diagnostic teams; coordinating intake procedures and processes; assisting with outreach evaluations; connecting with community resources; and consulting with staff and parents/caregivers regarding student needs. Requirements
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist (61 or 62) with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
- American Sign Language fluency.
Nice To Haves
- Administering school-based testing and assessments for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deafblind children, ages 3-21.
- Providing counseling and/or social-emotional supports in a school-based setting for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deafblind children.
- Collaborating with multi-tier, multi-department teams (e.g., diagnostic, educational, and residential staff).
