About The Position

As the School Principal, you will be responsible for coordinating administrative oversight and planning all phases of instructional leadership for the school. This includes educational programming, administration, budgetary planning, discipline, and counseling services. You will also: Oversee the daily management of the school and office. Conduct periodic observations and evaluations of educators in a timely and constructive manner, adhering to the school district's evaluation schedule. Provide additional training and guidance based on professional staff evaluations. Handle the hiring process for all faculty and staff and presides over necessary staff dismissal hearings. Supervise and evaluate the performance of clerical and cafeteria staff. Promote a productive learning environment through continuous collaboration with teachers, students, and parents. Establish a visible presence by being available during arrival and dismissal, attending school functions, and meeting with students. Enforce disciplinary policies and procedures with students. Participate in parent meetings and conferences, acting as a mediator between parents, teachers, and students to address various needs or issues. Ensure competency and academic achievement as prescribed by the school board. Chair staff meetings. Complete routine and required paperwork, including attendance reports, test results, and licensing information for students, educators, staff, and school management. Oversee maintenance and repairs of the school property. Coordinate staff development and provides instruction if needed. Implement and approves the school budget, including new programs and expenditures. Represent the school in community activities and meetings. Build positive relationships between the school and community by interacting with stakeholders such as the PTA, community organizations, and leaders. Serve as a liaison between the district and the school, effectively communicating needs and information to both parties. Collaborate with other principals and educators in the district to select and develop curriculum and textbooks aligned with local, state, and national standards. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to create, understand, and implement budgets and budgeting practices.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Master's degree in Education and School Administrator License required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Administrative experience required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience required.
