About The Position

LKA Capital Region is a tuition free, public charter school which provides evidence-based instruction for students with dyslexia. The School Operations Officer's primary role is supporting the overall mission of providing a safe and effective learning environment for students. They must also ensure that LKA's core values are implemented with fidelity, lead and develop their faculty and staff, and effectively engage with families.

Requirements

  • Ensure all faculty/staff, students, and parents are aligned with LKA’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Model LKA’s core values and hold others accountable for consistently demonstrating these values.
  • In partnership with the school leadership team, develop and communicate the school’s vision and goals, setting strategies to achieve goals, regularly reviewing progress, and adapting as needed.
  • Lead, coach, develop, and retain a high-performing operations team.
  • Motivate and inspire action, commitment, and initiative while managing continual change and improvement.
  • Partner with the CFO and central finance team to develop and manage the school’s operational budget.
  • Oversee and implement established purchasing, procurement, and inventory management policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the school’s leadership team to develop the upper and lower school calendars
  • Ensure the proper management of all school facilities and vendors
  • Oversee food services for the school's campus and manage food service vendor
  • Coordinate carpool and other operational logistics
  • Recruit and hire a pipeline of guest teachers.
  • Conduct guest teacher onboarding and training.
  • Organize and manage the operations staff and volunteers to ensure that the front office is a welcoming place for all staff, students, families, and visitors.
  • Oversee operations staff and technology vendors who are responsible for technology needs across campus, including equipment, software, web-based programs, and testing platforms.
  • Partner with the school leadership team to ensure a strong, value-centered school culture.
  • Lead and develop the upper and lower school disciplinarians and the part-time social worker.
  • Partner with COO & Spec. Ed Lead to manage monthly documentation, reporting and execution of the discipline & behavior system. (Behavior Intervention Plans)
  • Manage the PE Teacher, Athletics, Character Development and Clubs.
  • Lead and develop the Operations Manager to ensure accurate management and monitoring of SIS data (PowerSchool)
  • Oversee the execution of grade-level standards in the SIS (PowerSchool)
  • Support the upper and lower school principals in the creation and execution of Master Schedules
  • Coordinate annual compliance visits with LDOE
  • Partner with the Compliance Manager to assist with data and reporting
  • Manage the execution of Leap Testing Operations for grades 3rd-5th
  • Execute Crisis Management and Emergency Protocols
  • Partner with Chief Operations Officer to ensure any legal issues are reported to the LKA Board & Board President
  • Supervising the Operations Assistant- Partner with SPED Lead and Principal to ensure alignment with Parent Engagement activities.
