School Officer Assisting Student Learning (ASL)
About The Position
We’re looking for passionate and dedicated School Officer- Assisting Student Learning to work in a fixed term, term time completing 20 hours per week (Tuesday to Friday) commencing as soon as practicable. In this role, you’ll nurture curiosity and a love of learning by providing hands-on support in the classroom, assisting students with their individual learning goals, and helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment. With patience, empathy, and understanding, you’ll build strong connections with students - supporting their confidence and wellbeing as they learn and grow. You’ll work closely with teachers to monitor progress, celebrate achievements, and provide meaningful feedback that encourages each learner to thrive. Guided by Catholic values, you’ll embrace the school’s mission, prioritise student safety and wellbeing, and help create a welcoming, supportive environment where every learner feels they belong. Townsville Catholic Education has standa rds of conduct for workers to maintain a safe and healthy environment for children. Our commitment to these standards requires that we conduct working with children checks and background referencing for all staff.
