About The Position

The School of Education seeks applications between January 1, 2026 – June 30, 2026, from individuals who are interested in securing temporary instructor positions within the Higher Education Leadership program for the 2025 – 2026 academic year. Instructors teach hybrid courses (using video conferencing and synchronous learning technologies) in areas of their expertise and are hired periodically for fall, spring, and/or summer term, contingent upon enrollments and need. Reappointment may depend upon performance and the availability of funding. Requirements

  • Earned doctorate in higher education leadership or a related field
  • Demonstrated excellence and experience as a higher education leadership scholar/practitioner/administrator
  • Experience teaching in organizational theory, higher education finance, or related areas
  • At least three years of professional work experience in a higher education setting
  • Pre-employment criminal background check (required for new hires)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in teaching using video conferencing and synchronous learning technologies
  • Experience with mentoring and advising graduate student scholar practitioners
  • Record of scholarship and publication in higher education leadership or a related field commensurate with a research university
