SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Ensures the efficient operation of the school cafeteria; supervises staff; orders foods and supplies; oversees food planning, preparation and service; supervises point-of-sale terminal operation and financial reporting, and performs related work as required. May provide food services for one or more satellite site/ sites and/or operates a cluster school/ schools or a high volume location. Ensures compliance with all applicable District and Board policies and procedures and State, Federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Requires High School diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of experience in institutional food service and experience in food service supervision
  • Must obtain ServSafe certification or Completion of the Tennessee Department of Education - Food Safety and Schools Certificate Program) within one year
  • PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
